West Etna stays in the landscape throughout the tour. We will see the salt pans of Cappuccini, which are mud volcanos linked to the mountain activity. We will walk along the Simeto river in a natural reserve. We will cross the Bridge of Saracens, IX century, Normans’ age, which links the territory of Adrano to the territory of Centuripe through the Passo del Pecoraio (shephard’s passage).
Along the walk we will see the Simeto gorges with gushing waterfalls. Then we will move to the Gurrida lake where will have a packed lunch break. Along the way we will admire the basalt columns of c.da Saragoddio. In the afternoon we can come back or continue……with a wine tasting or other choices.
